2. Description of Service
Freelancer Chat is a platform that allows clients to submit design briefs, communicate with a freelance creative director, and receive quotes for design and branding services. The Service includes tools for project scoping, messaging, and file sharing. AI-assisted features may be used to help process or summarise your brief.
3. Account Registration
To access certain features you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep this information up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at hello@freelancer.chat if you suspect any unauthorised use.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for all content you submit, including briefs, messages, and files. You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm any person.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service.
- Engage in any activity that disrupts or degrades the performance of the Service.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and design assets on the Freelancer Chat platform (excluding user-submitted content) are the property of Freelancer Chat and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You retain ownership of any original content you submit through the platform, such as your project briefs and reference materials. By submitting content, you grant Freelancer Chat a limited, non-exclusive licence to use that content solely to provide the Service.
Work product created and delivered to you as part of a completed project is subject to the terms agreed separately between you and the designer. Until full payment is received, all design work remains the intellectual property of the creator.
6. Fees and Payment
Creating an account and submitting a brief is free. Project fees are quoted individually based on scope and agreed upon before work begins. Payment terms will be communicated at the time of engagement. All fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing.
7. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party providers including authentication, messaging, AI, and analytics tools. These providers have their own terms and privacy policies. Freelancer Chat is not responsible for the practices of any third-party services.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. AI-generated summaries or suggestions are for convenience only and may not be accurate.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Freelancer Chat shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
